What is light year 

A light year is a unit of astronomical distance which is defined as the distance which is travel in one year by the light since the speed of light in vacuum is 299,792,458 meter per second which is approximately 186 282 and the one light year is equal to 9.46 trillion years 
To see the distance in pre spective it would take about light 4.37 years to go in our nearest star so when we the nearest star it would be 4.37 year far away to us 

Light year in different planet

Light is the unit of distance so it is same in every planet However the distance representing by the light years is being depended 
For example the distance between two stars is one light year if one light year on earth so it would be one light year on other planet the distance between the earth and the other stars would be difference from another planet and the light is depending on there position 

Type of light year and difference of light and light year

A light year is the unit of distance their is no type of light year but light is divide into different type but their is very big distance in light and light year Light it is the form of electromagnetic radiation that can be see by the human eyes when light is travel in straight line it speed is 2999 792 458 on the other hand light is the unit of distance which is define as the distance that travel in one year by the year and it measure the distance of two object that are in space For example if the sun is 10 year far away so the light that we see is took 10 year to come on earth
